18.7.10 South Lismore 1st
Division Men are set for a resurgence when they
come up against Lennox Head this week after knocking
off #2 on the Table - Burringbar 3 - 2 . If Souths
can keep winning there is always light at the
end of the Tunnel.
18.7.10 Woolworths Kids in Sport Grant South Lismore
Celtic Football Club $1000 for 2010.
a Big Thankyou to Woolworths. The Money will go
towards benefiting the Primary School Aged Kids.
9.4.10: South Lismore to get its Second Senior
Field. Corn Paddock: South's Main Field will continue
to struggle whilst trying to get the grass to
seed. Concerned Committee discovered more
love grass, Weed & Nutgrass in the 1st run
after the council ripped and planted the field.
Attempts are being made to kill off as much as
the love grass as possible. Ian Walker & Steven
Towner with very little help have installed irrigation
for the Main Field to the far side. We will see
how the season pans out but I can't see too much
happening on the Main Field when Winter sets in.
12.3.10
1st division team has entered in the Northern
NSW
State Knockout Cup this year. It is now being
called the Solo Cup
as they picked up solo as a sponsor. We have just
got the draw. Our
guys will be playing on Saturday 27 March 2010.
We will have to
travel to Kempsey, playing at Kemp Street Fields
(Kemp Street,
West Kempsey). The host club is Kempsey Saints
FC
(who also wear green and white!). Our team will
be playing
Pacific Palms at 1pm, Kempsey Saints will be playing
Oxley Vale
Attunga at 3pm. Not sure yet what is happening
for travel whether
they are taking a bus or not only got draw yesterday.
