F.F.N.C. News

July 2006: What the hell is going on with 1st Division & 1st Reserve Men having the Grand Finals at Kingsclifff. You have to be joking. Whats next maybe we should send everything to Carrara then all the Committee and staff will be happy.

23.5.06 The North Coast Soccer Sevens - is fully subsidised by every other playing Club in this region. Why do you ask? Simple mathematics if you want the cost to blow out we can also add the fact that the General Manager that the Clubs pay to look after soccer broadly through out this region also administers, managers, organisors, all aspects of the so called Lennox Head Sevens. Which mind you all profits from the Canteen go straight into the Lennox Head Soccer Clubs coffers. The F.F.N.C. uses stationary & resources to promote Lennox Sevens. Yes its gets $2000 Cash from Sponsors. All prizes go straight out in cash. F.F.N.C. pay for hire of Tents, Equipment, Laptops and other anomalies. Then the board that the Clubs voted in give him the accumulated days off in lieu for running the show. Now tell me why the Clubs are paying for Lennox Head to gain all profit? Because their is no Profit!! In 2005 the Board thought they were spending around $2000 to get it up and running. That year alone without Stationary & advertising costs the General Manager on behalf of F.F.N.C. spent over $5000 of all Clubs revenue to support Lennox Soccer Sevens. The General Manager now thought it would be a good idea to have a dedicated web page for Lennox Head Soccer Sevens, that is more cost and our G.M. that we pay looks after that site constantly and who pays him? Not Lennox Head. Back to the Maths of it all. It works out around $1.50 per player at your club that subsidises Lennox Head to put that event on. Wouldn't you like a refund, did your club vote to keep subsidising Lennox Head and the Soccer Sevens concept. Then Ask yourselves if they got away with that ask me how much it costs your club to subsidise the North Coast Suns & Flames?

23.5.06 Suns played illegally at Arkinsall Park - North Coast Suns - well if you did get injured on the 2 nights that the North Coast Suns played at South Tweed Heads you may win claim for damages as it emerged from South Tweed Heads delegate that they still failed their lighting audit again and F.N.C. failed to tell Bangalow that the game had reverted back to 1 & 3pm this week because of the lighting failure. The Northern Star had it at 3 & 5 pm. So who reimburses Bangalow for travelling costs. Thank God Tweed wasn't playing Maclean. Well back to the main story. Why did the Suns not play at Goonellabah at the end of last year. I was told by players that Tweeds lights were of less quality than Goonellabah and if Tweed wasn't at Australian Standards who made the call to have the Suns games at Tweed. I hope Lismore Workers, Thistles & Goonellabah put in a formal complaint because I was at the same General Meeting as everyone else that explained to us that at the end of the normal competition no games will be played at night unless the ground was certified at Australian Lighting standard and this clearly wasn't the case. You guys win the first award for brilliant administration skills for 2006. Give yourselves an uppercut and stop changing the rules, and try and dig yourselves out of this one.

Women's Premier League. - The reasons given from the committee why we have a 6 team competition is that Rovers & Workers Women's top Teams were so strong. So tell me how Byron Bay won the Callan McMillan Shield. Goonellabah is above workers in women's premier league whilst Lennox Head in Second Division has scored 15 goals in 3 games and on top of the ladder. Dear Committee go ask the Women's 4th Division and they will tell you. Stop creating a back log of Teams in 3rd & 4th Division They do not want 1 single serious player back there in 4ths, they are a pure social competition. Don't wreck a good thing. Just fix it.

F.F.N.C. new web site has arrived. My own opinion not the Clubs don't blog till the Web Site has all its teething problems fixed. Don't spend all your time sending emails to mediate blog sites. By replying to the blogs the General Manager now gives us a detailed history that all he does do the majority of the time is stay on the web for approximate $55,000 a year. General Managers must do more than mediate blog sites and take holidays during the peak start & finish of each soccer year.

Club Meetings are down to 3 a year. Better still lets just turn up to AGM's when the G.M. needs a pay increase i'm sure he'll have his contract written up faster than the results page of the F.F.N.C. Web site.

Can the General Manager Act as Judiciary Chairman then not Fax the Report then have someone else add on to the Suspension Report then the Club not get it for 10 days and only because we checked our in tray. What's going on there. That's right an Administration hiccup. We cant answer the question because we don't have a copy of the 2006 Year Book.

23.4.06 Alstonville v Tweed Heads First Division Men, No Referee at Crawford Park what happened there. That's right its a Referees Problem isn't it.

22.4.06 I remember a General Manager stating at the AGM that the 2006 Year Book was going to be out in Print by March 2006 where is it now.

The First A.G.M. for the newly formed Football Far North Coast witnessed the announcement of approximate $29,000 loss for the year 2006 and an advertising budget that has now doubled and the placements of 2 more casual staff members.
